YodelRoar combines the ancient art of yodeling with the historic music of bagpipes. Both yodeling and bagpipes hold a sacred place in many cultures and to our knowledge have not been mixed before. We are excited to share new musical paths through their union.

Doreen Kutzke

Born in the dark forests of the Harz Mountains, Doreen grew up in the GDR. Now she is a multidisciplinary musician and composer from Berlin. Since her childhood, she has been involved in musical projects involving her voice.

She founded the Jodelschule Kreuzberg, travels worldwide to teach yodeling and advanced vocal techniques in New York, Bordeaux, Paris, Oslo, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Prague, London and Los Angeles, and other places. The Guardian, BBC, ARTE TV and several German television stations regularly accompany her on her musical travels.

Andrew McGregor

Andrew is a GRAMMY nominated bagpiper for his work with Sekou Andrews and The String Theory. In addition to being a multi-instrumental musician, he creates poems on a typewriter for people outside bookshops, curates art shows, directs movies, and performs magic and comedy most weekends.
